Job summary

DP World, Global Logistics Leader, seeks a General Manager to steer the Tata Steel MLE Control Tower in IJmuiden, Netherlands. Lead a 25-person team to deliver high-quality logistics services, drive innovation, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

You will partner with Tata Steel and internal stakeholders to shape strategy, optimize operations, and ensure sustainable performance while upholding safety standards and governance. Fluency in English and Dutch is preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within logistics, supply chain management, transport management, or a comparable operational environment.
• Experience driving a strong safety culture through leadership, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven track record of managing large teams and delivering results within complex customer-focused operations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior customer leadership teams.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, business transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Are you an inspirational leader with a passion for logistics, operational excellence, and strategic customer partnerships? We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Tata Steel MLE Control Tower operation in IJmuiden.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic development of one of our most important logistics operations. Leading a team of over 25 logistics professionals, you will drive a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will ensure operational excellence across health & safety, service quality, capacity, costs, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. You will act as a trusted advisor to Tata Steel, proactively supporting future supply chain challenges while identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow our long-standing strategic partnership.

As a member of the Freight Management Leadership Team, you will contribute to the broader business strategy, support growth initiatives, and champion the values and culture of Multimodal Solutions.

Location: IJmuiden, The Netherlands

Key Responsibilities
