DP World plays a key role in global trade and supply chain solutions for a high tech client in Amsterdam. As a Senior EHS Coordinator, you are the driving force behind maintaining, improving and implementing Environmental, Health & Safety systems across the two sites in Amsterdam. You ensure compliance with Dutch legislation and international standards, while continuously raising the safety culture within the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement and maintain EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and internal audits
• Lead incident investigations and ensure proper follow‑up of corrective and preventive actions
• Advise management and operational teams on EHS matters and improvement initiatives
• Coordinate EHS meetings and training sessions to increase awareness and engagement
• Monitor compliance with Dutch health, safety and environmental legislation
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client when the Site Manager is absent, directly communicating about operational issues, incidents or improvement points

You act as the key link between strategy and daily operations, ensuring that safety and sustainability are embedded in every process.

Function Requirements

• You have a degree in Safety Management or a related field, e.g. MVK, HVK or equivalent
• You have at least five years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within logistics, warehousing or industrial environments
• You have solid knowledge of Dutch HSE legislation and ISO standards
• You are experienced in conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• You are strong in communication and able to influence stakeholders at different levels
• You work proactively, are solution‑oriented and take ownership
• You are fluent in English; Dutch is considered a strong advantage
• You have strong social skills and a collaborative mindset
