As a Global Forwarding Agent, you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment life-cycle for your assigned consolidations in the Gateway department. As a key contact and expert, you will ensure that all requests and requirements are met and answered accurately and timely. This position involves the preparation, distribution, and maintenance of all documents for various geographical regions. You will be accountable for executing and overseeing tasks for each shipment, including daily communication, reporting, and email management. Exceptional customer service and operational excellence are central to your role.

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but is not limited to, the following:
Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo
Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally
Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.
Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution
Build great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution
Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers
Participate in customer business reviews
Contribute to seamless forwarding operations across various regions,gaining exposure to unique challenges and client needs
3 years of Global Forwarding & air freight experience
Fluency in English and Dutch (written and verbal)
Experience with air imports and exports
Excellent customer service skills and follow-up to be utilized with customers and the network
Critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
