StudentJob is presenting a Front Office Internship at Moxy & Residence Inn Houthavens Amsterdam, part of Marriott Hotels & Resorts. The internship focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences from welcome to check-out, with growth opportunities within Vertiq Hospitality and Marriott properties.

You will learn front office operations, reservations, and guest services while supporting teams across departments and enjoying staff perks and paid internship allowances.

Qualifications

• Eager to learn and creative.
• Master the English language; Dutch is an advantage.
• Pursuing a relevant MBO/HBO study (hotel, facility, tourism).

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude
• Check guests in and out and provide a smooth arrival and departure experience
• Answer guest questions and provide information about the hotel and Amsterdam
• Handle guest requests and help solve any issues or complaints
• Assist guests with reservations, changes and cancellations
• Answer telephone calls, emails and other guest enquiries
• Prepare for daily arrivals and departures
• Learn and work with the hotel's reservation and Front Office systems
• Process payments and assist with cashier and administrative tasks
• Communicate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and other departments
• Follow up on guest requests and make sure they are handled correctly
• Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
• Assist with the smooth running of the Front Office during the shift
• Learn how to handle different guest situations and find appropriate solutions
• Contribute to creating the fun and personal Moxy guest experience
• Help make Residence Inn guests feel at home, especially guests staying for longer periods
• Learn about hotel safety procedures and what to do in emergency situations
• Participate in team meetings, training and other hotel projects
• Work different shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
