Job summary

Vertiq Hospitality Partners zoekt een Duty Trainee voor Moxy en Residence Inn Houthavens in Amsterdam. Je werkt in meerdere afdelingen en leert gasten te bedienen, op te treden bij verzoeken en klachten, en beslissingen te nemen bij problemen. Een dynamische stage met trainingsondersteuning en groeimogelijkheden.

Qualifications

• Je beheerst de Engelse taal, Nederlands is een pré.
• Je volgt een relevante HBO-opleiding in hotel/faciliteit/toerisme.
• Je bent sociaal, flexibel en werkt graag in een divers team.

Responsibilities

• Ondersteunen in alle afdelingen (front office, F&B, housekeeping en meer).
• Zichzelf presenteren als gastheer/gastvrouw naar gasten toe.
• Omgaan met gastverzoeken of klachten en tijdig handelen.
• Beschikbaar zijn voor vroege en late diensten, mogelijk in weekenden en op feestdagen.
• Leren wat er komt kijken bij noodsituaties en kwaliteitsrondes uitvoeren.

Our Duty Trainee is someone who can do it all and is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty or shy away from a challenge. You must be familiar with the company, equipment and emergency procedures. As a Duty Trainee, you have a good knowledge of all operational departments and are happy to help them in times of need! Complaints are a challenge for you because you are an excellent problem solver with a sense of humor and can turn any complaint or issue into a brilliant and spirited experience!

Moxy & Residence Inn Houthavens is managed by Vertiq Hospitality Partners, formerly known as Cycas Hospitality, established in 2008. Vertiq Hospitality Partners is evolving from a hotel management company to an operating partner with a clear Vision: to be the trusted operating partner in European hospitality investments.

What you will do during this internship:

• You will assist in all departments (front office, F&B, housekeeping etc.).
• You will be able to present yourself as a manager to the guests of the hotel.
• You will learn to deal with guest requests or complaints.
• A duty manager intern is expected to make the right decisions the moment a problem arises.
• You will gain knowledge about the hotel and what to do in emergency situations.
• You do quality rounds and Brand audit checks.
• You will check rooms to verify the outside cleaning company.
• Making orders
• Other projects
• You will work early and late shifts, including weekends and holidays

• You are eager to learn and creative
• You master the English language, Dutch is an advantage.
• You follow a relevant HBO study (hotel - facility - tourism)
• You are sociable and enjoy working in a diverse team
