Job summary

Moxy and Residence Inn Houthavens Amsterdam biedt een afstudeer-/stagepositie als Duty Trainee waarbij je in meerdere afdelingen inzetbaar bent en jezelf kunt presenteren als een gastgerichte manager voor onze gasten. Je leert omgaan met verzoeken en klachten, en handelt direct bij incidenten.

De stage biedt begeleiding en trainingsmogelijkheden binnen Vertiq Hospitality Partners, met een competitieve stagevergoeding en groei- en netwerkmogelijkheden binnen de hotelportfolio.

Qualifications

• Stage vereist in hospitality of vergelijkbaar veld.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in Engels.
• Inzicht in gastgericht werken en probleemoplossing.

Responsibilities

• Assisteren in alle afdelingen (front office, F&B, housekeeping).
• Presenteren als manager naar gasten.
• Leren omgaan met gastvragen of -klachten.
• Nemen juiste beslissingen bij problemen als duty manager.

Our Duty Trainee is someone who can do it all and is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty or shy away from a challenge. You must be familiar with the company, equipment and emergency procedures. As a Duty Trainee, you have a good knowledge of all operational departments and are happy to help them in times of need! Complaints are a challenge for you because you are an excellent problem solver with a sense of humor and can turn any complaint or issue into a brilliant and spirited experience!

Moxy & Residence Inn Houthavens is managed by Vertiq Hospitality Partners, formerly known as Cycas Hospitality, established in 2008. Vertiq Hospitality Partners is evolving from a hotel management company to an operating partner with a clear Vision: to be the trusted operating partner in European hospitality investments.

What you will do during this internship:

• You will assist in all departments (front office, F&B, housekeeping etc.).
• You will be able to present yourself as a manager to the guests of the hotel.
• You will learn to deal with guest requests or complaints.
• A duty manager intern is expected to make the right decisions the moment a problem arises.
• You will gain knowledge about the hotel and what to do in emergency situations.
• You do quality rounds and Brand audit checks.
• You will check rooms to verify the outside cleaning company.
• Making orders

• You will work early and late shifts, including weekends and holidays

Who are you?

• You are eager to learn and creative
• You master the English language, Dutch is an advantage.
• You follow a relevant HBO study (hotel - facility - tourism)
• You are sociable and enjoy working in a diverse team
• You are flexible and able to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
