Job summary

The Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam seeks a hospitality professional to welcome guests warmly, assign rooms per rate and availability, and craft memorable luxury experiences. You will work in line with hotel standards, including night shifts, and respond to guest inquiries with courtesy.

Strong English and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential. Candidates should be team players, motivated, accurate, creative, and able to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Teamplayer and capable of working in a luxury hospitality setting.
• Passion or knowledge of luxury hospitality and guest care.
• Accurate, motivated, creative with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication; good command of English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with Opera hotel software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensures guests are warmly welcomed at check-in and checked out courteously.
• Assigns guests to rooms according to the rate and availability.
• Creates memorable luxury experiences for guests.
• Works per hotel standards and schedules, including night shifts.
• Handles guest inquiries or complaints efficiently, escalating when needed.
• Provides accurate information about hotel facilities to guests.

• Ensures that all guests receive a warm welcome and courteous welcome upon check-in and check-out
• Ensures the guests are assigned to the type of room requested in accordance with the room rate
• Creates memorable luxury experiences for our guests.
• Works according to the hotel standards and according to schedule, inclusive of night shifts
• Attends to guest enquiries, request or complaints in an efficient and courteous manner, referring to management whenever necessary
• Provides accurate information to guest enquiries related to hotel facilities
