Job summary

FedEx operates a busy, structured warehouse in Duiven, Gelderland. We seek a precise forklift operator who handles unloading, weighing, and internal movements with care and ownership. You will rotate three shifts and contribute to efficient pallet handling and packaging routes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets and packages from trucks and weigh them accurately.
• Move goods within the warehouse to correct locations.
• Scan and check items and load goods onto the correct truck.
• Identify and address routing or loading issues; take ownership of workload.

Job description

As a forklift operator, you ensure pallets and packages are properly unloaded, weighed, and placed in the right location within our warehouse. You work three shifts with a weekly rotation: 14:30 till 23:00 PM, 17:30 till 01:00 AM and 23:00 till 07:00 AM. Besides unloading trucks, you are responsible for internal movements within the warehouse. When packages or pallets have been correctly scanned or checked by your colleagues, you expertly maneuver goods to the right truck. Because you take ownership of your work, you remain alert for errors or when adjustments are needed to package routes or truck loading. Besides having an excellent job as a forklift operator, there are plenty of growth opportunities, for example, to become a reach truck operator or team leader. Despite our size, we value personal attention and believe the most important thing is that you feel at home in a friendly team.

What we offer

• A salary of €3,028 to €3,587 gross per month, including shift allowances and end-of-year bonus, based on a full-time employment
• 8% holiday allowance and extra vacation days increasing with age
• Travel allowance of € 0.23 per kilometer

What we ask

• You are at least 18 years old due to working with various machines
• You have a forklift certificate (or are willing to obtain it through us)
• You speak Dutch or English
• You are willing to follow an (online) Awareness Dangerous Goods course after a successful tour. This course takes 70 minutes and can also be done onsite!
• After a positive tour, we will request your Certificate of Conduct (VOG)
