At CelSian, we are the partner for future-proof glass. From our headquarters in Eindhoven and our US subsidiary, we work with leading glass manufacturers worldwide on modeling, lab research, and innovation projects. To strengthen our organization and manage expected further growth, we are looking for a financial project controller as part of our management team who brings structure, transparency, and insight into our financial processes and projects. With over 30 employees, we work on 120-150 projects per year for our customers around the world.
What you will do
- Improve and maintain internal control framework.
- Improve financial and KPI reporting to support management in data driven decision making
- Coordinate intercompany allocations and align NL and US administration.
- Validate work-in-progress, provisions, and project margins.
- Support monthly closings and prepare management reports and dashboards (PowerBI).
- Advise on financial strategy, risks and performance benchmarks.
- Prepare yearly budget along with operations and sales.
- Control all bookings and costs on projects.
Project management
- Track progress of running projects (weekly WIP reporting).
- Monitor booked hours, budgets, and direct/indirect ratios; flag and follow up on deviations.
- Join project leader meetings to review progress, invoicing, and risks.
- Open and close projects, and manage our license projects.
- Identify and implement improvements in project processes.
Teamwork
- Foster collaboration between the various disciplines, like sales, administration and project engineers, across our different locations.
- Establish a new team with clear accountability for project administration and coordination.
What you bring
- A master’s degree in business, management, or finance. Further degrees or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- 5–8 years of experience in financial controlling or audit.
- Experience with multi-entity setups and intercompany transactions.
- Hands-on with ERP/finance systems (AFAS preferred) and QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerBI.
- Strong communicator, comfortable working with both commercial, financial and technical colleagues.
