Job summary

PPHE Hotel Group in the Netherlands is seeking a Finance Intern for February 2027 to support the Hotel Business Control team across six hotels. You will assist with financial analysis, reporting, and cost-control projects, gaining exposure to both finance and accounting and helping inform regional decisions.

The internship covers rooms, F&B costs, accounts payable/receivable, month-end activities, and procurement system administration; travel between Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme (Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, Hospitality Management, Economics or related).
• Minimum internship period of five months.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business control analyses, reports, and presentations under the guidance of the Hotel Business Controllers.
• Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting activities.
• Assist with cost-control projects across Rooms and Food & Beverage for the Dutch portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and purchase-to-pay processes.
• Assist with accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes.
• Support month-end closing activities and deadlines.
• Assist with procurement systems administration (Fourth and Adaco).
• Follow up on purchasing queries and elevate issues as required.
• Collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple hotel locations.
• Gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis.

As a Finance Intern – February 2027, you will support the Hotel Business Control team and gain exposure to both finance and accounting across PPHE Hotel Group's six hotels in the Netherlands. Working closely with Hotel Business Controllers, you will contribute to financial analysis, reporting, cost control projects, and operational finance activities, helping drive informed business decisions across the region.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field
• Available for a minimum internship period of five months
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eagerness to develop advanced Excel capabilities
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Flexible and willing to travel between our hotels in Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven when required
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Interest in hospitality, finance, and business performance

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of finance, accounting, or business control principles
• Experience working with Excel and financial data analysis

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different departments

We provide a monthly allowance of €750, exceeding Horeca CAO (BOL) guidelines, with full coverage of job-related expenses.
