Job summary

PPHE Hotel Group offers a Finance Intern position supporting the Hotel Business Control team across six Netherlands hotels. You will contribute to financial analysis, reporting, cost-control projects and operational finance activities.

You will gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business performance reviews while collaborating with hotel locations and stakeholders. This is a five-month internship with competitive internal training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or related field.
• Available for a minimum internship period of five months.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with eagerness to develop advanced Excel capabilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to travel between Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht and Eindhoven when required.
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations under supervision of Hotel Business Controllers.
• Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting activities.
• Assist with cost-control projects for Rooms and Food & Beverage across the Dutch portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order-to-cash processes.
• Assist with month-end close activities and deadlines.
• Support procurement systems administration (Fourth and Adaco).
• Follow up on purchasing queries and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with finance teams across multiple hotel locations.
• Gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business reviews.

As a Finance Intern, you will support the Hotel Business Control team and gain exposure to both finance and accounting across PPHE Hotel Group's six hotels in the Netherlands. Working closely with Hotel Business Controllers, you will contribute to financial analysis, reporting, cost control projects, and operational finance activities, helping drive informed business decisions across the region.

• Assist with projects relating to Rooms and Food & Beverage cost control across the Dutch portfolio
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality
• Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes
• Assist with accounts payable and purchase-to-pay processes
• Assist with accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure deadlines are achieved
• Assist with the administration and support of procurement systems, including Fourth and Adaco
• Follow up on purchasing and requisition queries and elevate issues where required
• Collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple hotel locations

Essential Requirements

We provide a monthly allowance of €750, exceeding Horeca CAO (BOL) guidelines, with full coverage of job-related expenses.
