Job summary

PPHE Hotel Group offers a Finance Intern position for February 2027 in the Netherlands. You will join the Hotel Business Control team, supporting analyses, reporting, and cost-control projects across six hotels.

You will develop Excel and financial skills, collaborate across multiple locations, and gain exposure to commercial decision-making while traveling between Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Available for a minimum internship period of five months.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Flexible and willing to travel between hotels in Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business control analyses, reports, and presentations under the guidance of the Hotel Business Controllers.
• Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting activities.
• Assist with projects relating to Rooms and Food & Beverage cost control across the Dutch portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and purchase-to-pay processes.
• Assist with accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes.
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Assist with the administration and support of procurement systems, including Fourth and Adaco.
• Follow up on purchasing and requisition queries and elevate issues where required.
• Collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple hotel locations.
• Gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business performance reviews.

As a Finance Intern – February 2027, you will support the Hotel Business Control team and gain exposure to both finance and accounting across PPHE Hotel Group's six hotels in the Netherlands. Working closely with Hotel Business Controllers, you will contribute to financial analysis, reporting, cost control projects, and operational finance activities, helping drive informed business decisions across the region.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field
• Available for a minimum internship period of five months
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eagerness to develop advanced Excel capabilities
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Flexible and willing to travel between our hotels in Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven when required
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Interest in hospitality, finance, and business performance

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of finance, accounting, or business control principles

We provide a monthly allowance of €750, exceeding Horeca CAO (BOL) guidelines, with full coverage of job-related expenses.
