Job summary

JBT Marel Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician (Controls) to service Wenger Equipment around the Maastricht region. The role emphasizes hands-on PLC work, system troubleshooting, and direct customer interaction in diverse manufacturing environments.

You will travel globally (approx. 50%), lead field tasks, and collaborate with operators and other technicians to ensure peak system performance. A technical background and PLC experience are required.

Qualifications

Experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLC.
Knowledge in ControlLogix, RSVIEW3, Factory Talk SE & ME.
Experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning complex machinery or capital equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
A proactive and independent mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and passport, with willingness to travel globally (approximately 50%).
Flexibility to work weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Build and troubleshoot PLC programs.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Must be familiar with a variety of extruder/dryer processes and procedures relating to electrical and PLC matters.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks including leading and directing operators and other Technicians.
Other duties as assigned.
