Job summary

LA International is seeking two Fiber Engineers for a long-term B2B contract across the Netherlands. The role involves frequent travel between telecom sites to install, patch, test, and maintain fiber backbone networks.

Dutch and English language skills are advantageous, and engineers should hold a relevant telecom qualification with DWDM knowledge and safety certification. Ideal candidates will have several years of telecom engineering experience, strong knowledge of fiber optics and

• Completed telecommunications education or a comparable technical qualification.
• Several years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Experience with fiber backbone technology; FTTH-only experience is not sufficient.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructures and fiber optic networks.
• Experience with fiber patching, cleaning, and testing.
• Knowledge of DWDM principles.
• Basic knowledge of working with command-based scripts; developing scripts not required.
• Valid NEN 3140 electrical safety certification.
• Possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or willingness to apply for one.

Our telecommunications client is looking for 2 Fiber Engineers to work on a long term B2B contract. The role would require frequent travel across sites in the Netherlands. Fluency in Dutch as well as English would be highly advantageous.

Job Requirements

Education & Technical Background

• Completed telecommunications education or a comparable technical qualification.
• Demonstrable, several years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Proven experience with fiber backbone technology; FTTH-only experience is not sufficient.
• Good knowledge of telecom infrastructures and fiber optic networks.
• Experience with fiber patching, cleaning, and testing.
• Knowledge of and experience with DWDM principles.
• Basic knowledge of working with command-based scripts and the ability to load/apply existing scripts. Developing scripts independently is not required.
• Valid NEN 3140 electrical safety certification.
• Possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or willingness to apply for one to gain access to telecom sites and required badges/authorizations.
