Job summary

ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is seeking a Facility & Quality Manager to safeguard the overall quality, cleanliness, appearance and sustainability of the hotel.

As a Hotel Management Team member, you oversee 644 guest rooms, public areas, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring brand standards in a high-volume environment.

You will monitor the outsourced housekeeping, lead two Room Inspectors, manage linen and laundry, budgets, suppliers, and drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in hospitality or hotel operations.
• Experience managing outsourced housekeeping services and contractor relationships.
• Strong understanding of hotel quality standards and guest expectations.
• Experience managing budgets and inventories and monitoring performance.
• Passion for quality, sustainability and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on approach with attention to detail.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, cleanliness, presentation, and availability of 644 guest rooms and public areas.
• Manage daily relationship with outsourced housekeeping provider.
• Lead two Room Inspectors responsible for room quality audits.
• Conduct daily quality inspections and review room reports.
• Coordinate window cleaning, specialized cleaning, grounds and waste management.
• Supervise in-house painter and coordinate refurbishment activities.
• Manage procurement and stock control of guest supplies and linen.
• Oversee linen management and guest/employee laundry services.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor costs and take actions.
• Process and control invoices per company procedures.
• Maintain daily communication with Technical Department on operations.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and coordinate Green Key objectives.
• Manage Lost & Found procedures.
• Contribute to Hotel Management Team and hotel strategy.
