Job summary

Hotelprofessionals - Hyatt Regency Amsterdam operates MAMA MAKAN, a vibrant Indonesian all-day-dining concept. We seek a Team Leader F&B to supervise the restaurant and bar, especially during peak times, and to mentor a tight-knit team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will master the menu, upsell effectively, balance cash, and support events, while maintaining Hyatt standards. 2+ years in hospitality leadership and fluent English, Dutch preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Hospitality, with a supervisory or head waiter role in a high-volume restaurant or 4/5* hotel.
• 1 year experience in the same position.
• Good leadership skills and ability to lead a team of 8–10 people.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• A degree in Hospitality / Tourism, or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Excellent language and communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Experience working with a POS system.
• Flexible schedule, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands (EU/EEA passport or valid permit).

Responsibilities

• Being in charge of the F&B outlets in absence of the (Assistant) Restaurant Manager.
• Hands-on supervisor, present in the restaurant during busy periods.
• Assist in monthly inventory checks of equipment and supplies.
• Knowledge of all menu items and the ability to upsell and pair dishes.
• Ensure outlets are clean and organized front and back of house.
• Perform cashier duties and Micros cash handling.
• Balance cash and card charges and remit to Front Office safe.
• Support events and functions with proper setup and coordination.
• Maximize profitability while delivering the Hyatt brand promise.
• Maintain good relationships with F&B and other departments.
• Foster a positive, motivated attitude and team spirit.
• Provide regular feedback and training to staff.
