Job summary

Mercure Amsterdam City is seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead our F&B operation, overseeing restaurants, bar, terrace and meetings. You will drive guest satisfaction, financial performance and a strong team culture in a dynamic hotel environment.

You will manage three F&B Supervisors and the Executive Chef, coaching staff to deliver excellence while ensuring compliance with Mercure standards and health & safety guidelines. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership role within Food & Beverage.
• Bachelor-level working and thinking ability.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Hands-on mentality with a passion for guest satisfaction.
• Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop the F&B team, creating a culture of engagement and excellence.
• Directly manage an F&B leadership team and chefs to build a high-performing culture.
• Be a visible presence on the floor, supporting the team and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Drive operational quality and service standards across all F&B outlets.
• Monitor financial performance, productivity and profitability.
• Ensure efficient workforce planning and talent development.
• Collaborate with other department heads as part of the Hotel Management Team.
• Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and revenue.
