Job summary

Vessel, part of The July, Amsterdam, seeks an energetic F&B Supervisor to own shifts and energize a small team by delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will coach staff, manage service during breakfast, lunch and dinner, and ensure smooth operations with a hands-on approach.

You will lead by example in a flat, informal environment focused on growth, guest satisfaction and teamwork. English fluency is required; Dutch is a plus, with opportunities for personal development and attractive

• Hospitality education or relevant F&B experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Passion for food, drinks and guest experiences.
• Natural leader who enjoys coaching and developing others.
• Hands-on mentality, lead by example.
• Strong English communication; Dutch a plus.
• Flexible, positive and solution-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stay calm and guest-focused when busy.

Responsibilities

Vessel is a relaxed waterfront brasserie with a laid-back beach vibe in the city. The Houthavens is one of Amsterdam’s most exciting neighbourhoods, filled with young families, creatives and a growing local community. Vessel is right in the middle of it. Our large terrace right by the water is where Vessel really comes to life. Add good food, creative cocktails, carefully selected wines, great events and a relaxed atmosphere, and you get a place that feels more like a little getaway than a typical restaurant. As our F&B Supervisor, you are one of the key people in the restaurant. You take ownership of the shift, bring energy to the team and make sure our guests receive the experience they came for.

The Job

• Coach and motivate the F&B team and help people become better at what they do.

• Keep an eye on stock, orders and inventory.

• Collaborate within an experienced team of four managers to provide seamless dining experiences.
• Keep quality, hygiene and guest experience on point.
• Most importantly: be present in the restaurant, support your team and make things happen.

Do you recognize yourself in the following?

• You have a hospitality education and/or relevant experience in F&B.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a strong plus.
