Job summary

Heineken in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant (Senior Business Support Specialist) to support the Chief of Commerce and drive structure across the international Commerce function. You will manage priorities, coordinate key activities, and ensure leaders have what they need to focus on driving the business forward.

The role offers exposure across Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, Finance and Commerce.

Qualifications

  • Completed HBO degree or equivalent level of education.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a demanding international business environment.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders within a complex organisation.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Providing proactive support to the Chief of Commerce, including agenda management, correspondence, and leadership meetings.
  • Coordinating international travel, global events, and leadership team activities.
  • Supporting projects, onboarding, budget administration, and other business operations.
  • Leading and developing the Business Support Specialist team through coaching and performance management.
  • Driving standardised ways of working and continuous improvement across the Commerce function.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve Business Support services.

Executive Assistant Are you an experienced Business Support professional who enjoys bringing structure to a dynamic international environment? Do you like working closely with senior leaders while also coaching and developing a team? Then this could be your next step.

As an Executive Assistant, internally known as a Senior Business Support Specialist, you will support the Chief of Commerce and play a central role in the Commerce function. You will manage priorities, coordinate key activities, and ensure leaders have what they need to focus on driving the business forward.

What You’ll Do This role goes far beyond traditional business support. Working closely with the Chief of Commerce, you will have a unique view of what is happening across the business. From commercial strategy and innovation to new product launches, market expansion, and business challenges around the world, you will be exposed to many of the topics that shape the future of HEINEKEN.

You will work closely with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, Finance, and Commerce. By bringing structure, connecting people, and anticipating what is needed, you enable leaders and teams to perform at their best.

You are comfortable supporting senior leaders, balancing multiple priorities, and handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion. At the same time, you enjoy helping others succeed and creating an environment where teams can work effectively together.

Furthermore, you bring:
  • A completed HBO degree or equivalent level of education;
  • At least 7 years of experience in a demanding international business environment;
  • Experience supporting senior leaders within a complex organisation;
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a team;
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
