Job summary

World Forum The Hague is seeking a Duty Manager Events to oversee the operational execution of a wide range of events. You will translate scripts into on-floor actions, lead teams, and liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth, safe, and professional delivery.

You will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, coordinating with AV, F&B, and security to maintain high standards across conferences, multi-day events, and cultural performances.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality, events, or operational event execution.
• Ability to independently take charge of events and assume responsibility during execution.
• Fluent Dutch and English, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operational execution of events on the floor.
• Translates scripts and agreements into clear execution for the involved teams.
• Coordinates collaboration between AV, F&B, Project Management, Safety & Security, Building, suppliers, cleaning, and customers.
• Monitors planning, quality, hospitality, safety, and professional appearance of the location.
• Functionally manages teams, delegates tasks, and maintains an overview.
• Identifies bottlenecks and solves operational problems quickly and practically.
• Acts as the client’s point of contact during setup, execution, and dismantling of the event.
• Handles changes, incidents, or unexpected situations professionally.
• Contributes ideas on how to further improve event execution and collaboration.
