Job summary

Playhood is offering an Event Management Internship in Amsterdam. You’ll support planning and coordinating a variety of events, from parties to corporate gatherings, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll learn how events come together, work with clients, suppliers and venues, and take on responsibilities to help the team succeed. This internship offers real contribution and a collaborative, international team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing studies in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or a related field.
• Able to stay organized and execute plans.
• Excellent Dutch and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating various events.

Job description

As an Event Management Intern, you’ll work closely with our event team to bring all kinds of events to life, from birthday parties and business meetings to community gatherings, educational visits and workshops.

You’ll be involved in both planning and execution. You’ll work with clients, suppliers and the venue team, learn how events really come together and gain plenty of hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving environment.

This is a practical internship where you can learn, take responsibility and see your work become reality.

Main Tasks

• Support the planning and coordination of different events
• Communicate with clients and help identify their needs
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and contractors
• Help organise catering, spaces, materials and other event details
• Support event set‑up and execution
• Help ensure events run smoothly from start to finish
• Support event administration and scheduling
• Help the wider team with operational tasks when there are no events

• You study Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or a similar subject
• You are organised and enjoy making things happen
• You communicate confidently in Dutch and English
• You are proactive and comfortable taking initiative

• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 5–6 months
• Internship allowance: €450 per month
