Job summary

Avantor Fluid Handling in Hillegom is seeking a Transportation & Logistics Specialist to coordinate European shipping, inbound/outbound logistics, and irradiation activities. You will manage carriers, optimize processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with Procurement, Production and Customer Service to align logistics with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of transportation modes, regulations and customs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation activities for the European Single Use business based in Hillegom.
• Organize inbound logistics, irradiation logistics, and outbound shipments.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Monitor schedules, track deliveries and resolve issues proactively.
• Optimize logistics processes for cost efficiency and performance.
• Prepare shipping docs, customs declarations and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations locally and internationally.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production and Customer Service.
• Analyze data and report KPIs, costs, and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and packaging solutions.
• Support special projects as required.
