Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks an experienced Engineering Manager (Infrastructure) to lead the core platform, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and MLOps capabilities across the organisation. You will oversee Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering teams, focusing on people leadership, hiring, scaling, and delivery management.

You\'ll drive technical credibility across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and MLOps, with a track record of delivering scalable,

Qualifications

8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership role.
Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering teams.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Technical credibility across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and MLOps environments.
Experience operating within Dutch government or public sector organisations (advantageous).

Responsibilities

Lead teams responsible for building and operating the foundational platforms enabling reliable, secure, scalable software delivery.
Oversee Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering to support all engineering functions.
Drive people leadership, hiring, organisational scaling, and delivery management.
Ensure tooling, automation, and operational excellence across the stack.
