Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks an experienced Engineering Manager (Infrastructure) to lead the core platform, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and MLOps capabilities across the organisation. You will oversee Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering teams, focusing on people leadership, hiring, scaling, and delivery management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership role.
• Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Technical credibility across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and MLOps environments.
• Experience operating within Dutch government or public sector organisations (advantageous).

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (Infrastructure) to lead the teams responsible for the core platform, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and MLOps capabilities that underpin our data, analytics, and AI ecosystem.

In this role, you will lead engineering teams responsible for building and operating the foundational platforms that enable reliable, secure, scalable software delivery across the organisation. Covering both Platform Engineering and DevOps/MLOps, your teams will provide the infrastructure, tooling, automation, and operational excellence that support every engineering function within the business.

This position is focused on people leadership, team development, hiring, organisational scaling, and delivery management.

What You'll Bring
