Job summary

Real seeks an experienced Facilities Engineer to coordinate a broad range of site services and drive improvements in a highly regulated life sciences setting. You will serve as the central interface with customers, suppliers and authorities, ensuring safe, compliant operations and high service quality.

You will manage third-party vendors, monitor KPIs, and support SAP CMMS systems while upholding strict EHS and quality standards in a matrix organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in facilities management/related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant facilities or engineering experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in contract management and project execution.
• Solid understanding of facilities management, compliance and service delivery standards.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and outsourced service providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee facility services including security, food services, mailroom, conference rooms, grounds, pest control, and GxP cleaning.
• Oversee building and utility maintenance and interface with customers, suppliers, and authorities.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual commitments; drive service improvements and standardisation.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and operational requirements; conduct quality checks and manage CAPAs.
• Support and maintain SAP CMMS systems and user accessibility.
• Provide subject matter expertise in facilities and soft services operations.

About the Role

As a Facilities Engineer, you will act as the central point of coordination for a wide range of facility and workplace services. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee facility services including:


• Security


• Food services


• Mailroom operations


• Conference room management


• Grounds maintenance

• Building and utility maintenance


• Serve as the primary interface between customers, suppliers, and relevant authorities.


• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual commitments.


• Drive service improvements and standardisation initiatives.


• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and operational requirements.


• Conduct quality checks and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).


• Track and resolve service incidents, deviations, and non-conformances.


• Support and maintain SAP CMMS systems and user accessibility.


• Provide subject matter expertise in facilities and soft services operations.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Services, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.


• Approximately 6-8 years of relevant facilities or engineering experience.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Proven experience in contract management and project execution.


• Solid understanding of facilities management, compliance, and service delivery standards.
