Job summary

Proteus Professionals is seeking an engineer to join a focused yachtbuilding team in the Netherlands. You will perform 3D and 2D engineering for projects ranging from concept to detail, using Rhinoceros and AutoCAD, while collaborating with shipyards and suppliers to deliver precise solutions.

You will contribute to mechanical and systems work, ensure accurate drawings, and support design and production teams. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with a strong independent, accurate mindset.

Qualifications

• MBO-4 or HBO in Marine Engineering or comparable technical field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Rhinoceros (Rhino) or strong willingness to learn.
• Fluent in Dutch and a good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D and 2D engineering for yachtbuilding projects (basic and detailed engineering).
• Work with Rhinoceros (3D) and AutoCAD (2D).
• Collaborate with shipyards and suppliers.

Join a small, informal, and highly specialized engineering team working closely with leading yacht yards on newbuilds, refits, and conversions.

What you will work on

You will contribute to high-end yachtbuilding projects in a collaborative and open working environment, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Projects span the full engineering lifecycle and involve close cooperation with shipyards and suppliers.
