Job summary

Van Storm Recruitment presents an exciting opportunity for an Exterior Engineer Yachtbuilding to join a leading Dutch megayacht builder. You will develop 3D solution models of doors, shutters, railing, windows, hatches and stairs using AutoCAD and Siemens NX, and decide on materials, production techniques, assembly and cost before production.

You will work closely with the outfitting and exterior teams, ensure compliance with classification rules (Lloyd's / LYC), and support production by

Qualifications

• +2 years of experience in Outfitting/Exteriors within yachtbuilding.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD; Siemens NX is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the overall detail design of the Outfitting and Exterior parts of a superyacht.
• Checking the 3D models, calculations, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Resolving complex technical issues within the design team and/or between design and production.
• Ensuring alignment with classification rules and regulations such as Lloyd's and Large Yacht Code.
• Actively cooperating with the other disciplines in the execution of the tasks, to ensure a smooth information flow.
• Supporting the production team with solving problems.
• Communicating with external parties and customers.

Job description

As a Exterior Engineer Yachtbuilding, you will be working in the department that is crucial for the mega yacht sector, as it focuses on a wide range of equipment essentials in creating the luxury look and feel of superyachts. You will prepare the 3D solution models of doors, shutters, railing, windows, hatches, and stairs, working in AutoCAD and Siemens NX. Next to that, you will decide on materials, production techniques, assembly, manufacturability, and cost of exterior elements before the production stage starts.
