Job summary

Eneco Energy Trade is seeking a Trade Back Office Specialist to ensure accurate financial settlements of energy trades and to strengthen internal controls. You will join a team of professionals dedicated to reliable cash flow processing, contract settlements, and comprehensive administrative oversight.

In this role, you will collaborate with traders, finance, and external parties to improve data quality and compliance while adapting to a dynamic trading environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance-related field or strong financial component.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and financial processes.
• Experience within a corporate environment, shared services and/or energy trading.
• Affinity with large datasets and translating them into effective control processes.
• Knowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworks (e.g. JSOX).
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Currently living in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end operational process, monitor progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Determining daily activities and priorities and processing ad hoc requests while weighing their importance and urgency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Eneco Energy Trade.
• Drive and support improvements to trade and financial processes and related systems.
• Work closely with traders, finance and external stakeholders in a high-impact, dynamic environment.
