Job summary

Eneco Energy Trade is seeking a Trade Back Office Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of energy trades from contract setup to settlement, ensuring accuracy and strong data controls.

You collaborate with traders, finance and other stakeholders to reflect transactions in financial administration and monitor cash flows, while driving process improvements in a dynamic trading environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (finance-related).
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience within a corporate environment and/or energy trading.
• Affinity with large datasets and translating them into effective control processes.
• Knowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworks (e.g. JSOX).
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Currently living in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring complete, accurate and timely trade and financial administration.
• Managing and monitoring end-to-end operational processes.
• Identifying, analyzing and resolving discrepancies.
• Prioritizing daily work and handling ad hoc requests effectively.
• Managing expectations of stakeholders across trading, finance and beyond.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Driving continuous improvement of processes, controls and systems.
• Safeguarding data quality, compliance and reporting standards.
• Operate at the core of Eneco Energy Trade and maintain control over complex trading flows.
• Own end-to-end processes and actively improve systems, data quality and compliance.
