Job summary

McFly & Brown seeks experienced Software Engineers to work on complex high-tech systems across semiconductor, medical and analytical fields. You will connect machines, hardware and software, with focus in C#, C++, Java, C and/or Rust.

Based in Apeldoorn with project work at customer sites in Zwolle, Enschede, Arnhem and Nijmegen, you will join multidisciplinary teams and mentor others as you gain senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in technical software development or embedded software.
• Experience with C#, C++, Java, C or Rust.
• Experience developing software for machines, embedded systems or industrial applications.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, UML and Agile methods.
• Experience with Linux, real-time systems, hardware integration or electronics is a plus.
• 7+ years for senior roles and capability to mentor others.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• EU driving licence and willingness to travel for customer work.

Responsibilities

• Developing and testing software for high-tech products, machines and systems.
• Develop software in C#, C++, Java, C and/or Rust depending on project.
• Design embedded software for real-time and Linux environments.
• Integrate hardware, electronics and controllers into software stacks.
• Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, patterns and engineering decisions in teams.
