Job summary

McFly & Brown in The Hague is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer/Designer to contribute to challenging projects in semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industries. The role focuses on embedded software ranging from C++ on Linux-based platforms to real-time and bare-metal systems, with potential involvement in software architecture and Qt interfaces.

The position involves working from Delft and at customer locations across the Randstad area, applying functional safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software development for high-tech systems.
• C/C++ on Linux-based or RTOS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ for advanced high-tech systems.
• Build and optimize applications on Linux-based and real-time platforms.
• Design modular, maintainable embedded software architectures.
• Develop Qt interfaces for machine and system control.
• Implement state machines and real-time logic.
• Work with RTOS like FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Embedded Linux.
• Integrate communication protocols (UART, SPI, CAN, I2C).
• Create automated tests (e.g., Python).
• Debug and analyze complex embedded systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and engineering roadmaps.
• Collaborate with electronics, mechatronics and software engineers.
