Job summary

Qblox, based in the Netherlands, seeks an Embedded Engineer to shape the middle software layer of our Linux-based systems that control thousands of qubits with nanosecond accuracy.

You will bridge low-level FPGA functionality with high-level UI libraries, write modern C++20 code, and drive architecture across the SDLC in an Agile environment, while mentoring peers to uphold engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Deep background in Embedded Software development and strong command of the Linux kernel.
• Expert in modern C++ (C++20).
• Understanding of Linux kernel driver development and basic Python knowledge.
• Experience implementing complex design patterns and building from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap: translate high-level business goals into robust technical implementations without compromising code quality.
• Architect for scale: create and implement maintainable software architectures using expert-level design patterns.
• Lead by example: write clean, maintainable C++20 code and coach others to maintain the same high bar.
• Own the stack: drive development across the full SDLC within an Agile environment.
