Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group is assisting a client in Eemshaven, The Netherlands, to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer for a permanent role on an industrial site. The role focuses on engineering, detailing, execution, commissioning and handover of electrical modifications within a safety-critical environment.

You will develop changes to diagrams, cables and power supplies, prepare specifications and coordinate with management, contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality

Qualifications

• HBO degree in Electrical Engineering.
• VCA VOL safety certificate.
• Minimum five years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in large-scale power generation/utilities/industrial environments.
• Afrikaans fluency would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and technically detail modifications to existing electrical installations.
• Develop changes to electrical diagrams, cables, power supplies and electrical components.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, bills of materials, spare-parts proposals and engineering documentation.
• Guide electrical engineering projects from initial concept and definition through execution and delivery.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project management, contractors and site stakeholders.
• Evaluate technical proposals submitted by suppliers and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and support during execution, testing and commissioning.
• Verify that modifications have been completed correctly and comply with applicable standards and safety requirements.
• Update technical documentation following modifications.
• Ensure an effective technical handover to the maintenance organisation.
