Take your electrical engineering experience into a technically demanding environment in the Netherlands. This opportunity is suited to an experienced Electrical Engineer who can take modifications to existing electrical installations from engineering and technical detailing through execution, commissioning and final handover.

You will be responsible for developing and coordinating electrical modifications across an operational site, working with electrical diagrams, cabling, power supplies and associated components. The role combines hands-on technical engineering with project coordination, requiring someone who can translate requirements into practical, compliant solutions and maintain engineering quality throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with project management, contractors, suppliers and site stakeholders, evaluating technical proposals and supporting execution, testing and commissioning. An important part of the position is ensuring that modifications comply with applicable technical standards and safety requirements and that accurate documentation is handed over to the maintenance organisation.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• A completed Higher Professional Education (HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering, or an appropriately comparable qualification.

• A valid VCA VOL safety certificate.

• At least five years of relevant electrical engineering experience.

• Experience gained in large-scale power generation, utilities, energy or similarly complex industrial environments, with experience from organisations such as Eskom particularly relevant.

• Strong electrical engineering and technical documentation capabilities.

• Experience working with modifications to existing electrical installations.

• Ability to assess technical specifications and contractor or supplier proposals.

• Experience supporting project execution, testing and commissioning.

• Strong awareness of engineering standards and safety requirements.

• Afrikaans fluency would be advantageous.
