Job summary

Pentagon Technical Services seeks an experienced Electrical Tester / Commissioning Engineer for a major data centre project in the Netherlands. The role focuses on QA/QC live and dead testing of LV and MV panels to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance before handover.

You will join a hands-on commissioning team delivering large-scale, mission-critical electrical systems, working on-site in the Netherlands for the duration of the project.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Tester or Commissioning Engineer.
• Hands-on testing on LV/MV panels and switchgear.
• Knowledge of QA/QC documentation and test records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dead testing (insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, earth loop impedance) on LV and MV panels.
• Conduct live testing and functional testing of LV/MV switchgear and equipment.
• Complete QA/QC documentation and inspection records per project standards.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances found during testing.
• Support FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing with the commissioning team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and electrical standards.
• Liaise with site engineers, commissioning managers, and client representatives.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Tester / Commissioning Engineer to join a major data centre project in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for carrying out QA/QC live and dead testing on LV and MV panels, ensuring all electrical systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance before handover.

This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on electrical professional to work on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre build, alongside an experienced commissioning team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out dead testing (insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, earth loop impedance) on LV and MV electrical panels and systems
• Carry out live testing and functional testing of LV/MV switchgear, panels, and associated equipment
• Complete QA/QC documentation, test sheets, and inspection records in line with project standards
• Identify, report, and help resolve any defects or non‑conformances found during testing
• Support the wider commissioning team through FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety procedures and relevant electrical standards
• Liaise with site engineers, commissioning managers, and client representatives throughout the testing process
• Maintain accurate records to support project handover and close‑out documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Tester or Commissioning Engineer, ideally on data centre or other mission‑critical projects
• Strong hands‑on experience with LV and MV panel testing, both live and dead
• Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and test documentation
• Good working knowledge of relevant Dutch/European electrical standards
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and reporting
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary site team
• Willingness to work on‑site in the Netherlands for the duration of the project
