Job summary

McFly & Brown in Amsterdam-West is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for cranes used offshore, maritime and wind energy projects. From the initial electrical design in EPLAN to final realization, you will see your work come to life within a small, hands‑on team and regularly visit the workshop.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with EPLAN and independent design of electrical schematics.
• Experience in machine manufacturing or industrial installations.
• Hands-on mindset and ability to work across engineering and production.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics and installations in EPLAN for cranes and lifting systems.
• Translate customer requirements into practical electrical solutions.
• Select and specify electrical components, drives, and control systems while ensuring safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, Hydraulics, Production and Project Management.
• Support production and commissioning by resolving technical challenges and implementing improvements.
