Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to lead on-site electrical delivery for data centre projects in Groningen, Netherlands. You will mobilise, energise, and hand over installations, coordinating labour, subcontractors, and interface with project teams.

The role requires strong LV/MV/HV knowledge, QA/QC, health and safety compliance, and proven leadership of large site teams on fast-track multi-trade builds. Excellent stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Construction Manager or similar on mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV installation and critical power systems.
• Experience leading large, multi-trade site teams on fast-track projects.
• Solid understanding of HSE legislation and safe electrical practices.
• Experience supporting commissioning through handover and QA/QC.

• Lead all on-site electrical construction activity on data centre projects, from mobilisation to handover.
• Manage installation of LV, MV and HV systems and equipment.
• Plan and sequence site works, labour resources and material deliveries.
• Supervise supervisors, foremen, electricians and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality.
• Coordinate interfaces with main contractor and other site packages.
• Enforce QA/QC standards and installation documentation.
• Report progress, productivity, risks, and issues to Project Manager and leadership.

Join an established specialist electrical contractor with over 35 years of experience in critical infrastructure, offering in‑house engineering, off‑site manufacturing, and HV/MV capability across hyperscale and colocation data centre projects for globally recognised clients.

The organization is currently on the lookout for an Electrical Construction Manager to lead site delivery on large-scale data centre projects. The ideal candidate will run the electrical installation on site from mobilisation through to energisation and handover, managing labour, subcontractors, and site teams while working closely with in‑house project management, engineering, and commissioning colleagues, with a clear path into senior construction leadership as the business expands.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all on‑site electrical construction activity on data centre projects, from mobilisation to handover
• Manage installation of LV, MV and HV systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busbar, cabling and containment
• Plan and sequence site works, labour resources and material deliveries against the project programme
• Supervise supervisors, foremen, electricians and subcontractors, and hold them to productivity and quality targets
• Coordinate daily with the main contractor, mechanical trades and other site packages to resolve interfaces and clashes
• Enforce QA/QC standards, inspection and test plans, and installation documentation
• Report site progress, productivity, risks and issues to the Project Manager and senior leadership

Skills/Must have:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Site Manager or Senior Electrical Supervisor on mission‑critical projects
• Strong working knowledge of LV/MV/HV installation and critical power systems
• Track record of leading large site workforces on fast‑track, multi‑trade projects
• Solid understanding of HSE legislation, safe systems of work and electrical safety rules
• Experience working to QA/QC processes and supporting commissioning through to handover
• Comfortable dealing with main contractors and clients on site
