Job summary

EarthStream Global seeks an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager to oversee high-voltage infrastructure projects across a regional transmission network. You will act as the client's on-site representative, managing safety, quality and programme delivery, while coordinating contractors and stakeholders throughout construction.

Role covers new-build, refurbishment, asset replacement and maintenance with hybrid site presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience delivering construction/infrastructure projects.
• Experience supervising contractors and site activities.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience with construction contracts, ideally design & build.
• Valid site safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience leading and coordinating construction teams.

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager to oversee the delivery of high-voltage infrastructure projects across a regional transmission network.

Working as the client's on-site representative, you will be responsible for managing safety, quality, programme delivery, contractor performance, and stakeholder coordination throughout the construction phase of multiple projects.

This role sits within a team responsible for delivering new-build, refurbishment, asset replacement, maintenance, and network expansion projects that support critical energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate construction and site coordination meetings.
• Act as the client's on-site representative during project execution.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections and workplace safety audits.
• Review engineering designs and develop execution, phasing, inspection, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate operational permits, outages, and access requirements.
• Manage internal and external project resources, including contractors, supervisors, and specialist vendors.
• Oversee construction activities from preparation through to handover.
• Inspect, review, and accept completed works.
• Prepare progress reports, construction updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery programmes.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, contractual obligations, HSE requirements, and sustainability targets.
• Coordinate successful handover of completed assets to operations and maintenance teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Infrastructure, Energy, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience delivering construction, maintenance, refurbishment, or infrastructure projects within a technical environment.
• Experience supervising contractors and site-based activities.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Experience working under construction contracts, preferably including design-and-build frameworks.
• Valid site safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience leading, coaching, and coordinating construction teams and contractors.

Project Details

• Location: Hybrid working with regular site presence required.
• Duration: Approximately 6 months.
• Hours: 32-40 hours per week.
