Job summary

Cencora in Veghel, Netherlands, seeks an experienced EHS professional to ensure regulatory compliance, lead audits, and drive a culture of safety across multisite warehousing and transport operations.

This fixed-term, 12-month role offers a 40-hour week, home-work allowance, generous vacation, pension, and a laptop/smartphone, with responsibilities to develop continuous improvement and reduce incidents.

Qualifications

• Directing oneself and/or others towards clearly formulated goals.
• Maintaining ethical standards in work activities.
• Persuading others to adopt plans or positions.
• Staying informed about market developments and applying insights.
• Absorbing and sharing new information effectively.
• Graduate level degree or equivalent desirable.
• Previous EHS management role in multisite environments with warehousing/transport.
• Experience with enforcement authorities.
• Experience in regulated industries.
• Proven ability to influence managers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with NL regulatory requirements including Arbeidsomstandighedenwet, Milieuwet, reporting and risk assessments.
• Manage and implement an audit process for EHS compliance with improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations leadership to ensure compliance across levels.
• Provide learning opportunities to cascade health and safety knowledge.
• Share lessons learned from incidents to improve safety culture.
• Liaise with external agents during investigations.
• Coordinate with group insurance and legal teams to minimize employer liability claims.
• Drive EHS engagement and ownership at operations level.
• Support managers during accidents and implement preventive reviews.
• Develop continuous improvement plans across all EHS areas.
• Aiming for zero lost time accidents.
