Job summary

Sofitel Legend the Grand Amsterdam is seeking a Duty Management Trainee intern to support the hotel’s operations under the guidance of the Duty Manager. You will learn to balance regular tasks with ad hoc situations while delivering exceptional guest service.

Role Responsibilities

During this internship you will have the opportunity to assist in the work of a Duty Manager in an international, luxury five‑star hotel. Duty Managers are responsible for the operations of the hotel and represent the management team in their absence. Their challenge is to find the right balance between regular work and ad hoc situations, making quick and adequate decisions that affect the well‑being of guests and other employees. Another description is an involved manager who oversees everything from a ‘strategic’ position, watches and listens carefully, responds quickly to developments, offers solutions, and coaches colleagues to provide consistent service and guest satisfaction.
