Job summary

Flynn and Chase seeks a Dutch-speaking restructuring professional to join the Amsterdam team of a global advisory firm. You will work on liquidity assessment, refinancing, debt advisory and potential M&A across Dutch and international clients.

The role combines small-team speed with the reach of a 30+ country firm and offers early responsibility with opportunities to shape the Amsterdam practice. Hybrid working from Amsterdam is available.

Qualifications

• Fluent Dutch and strong English for cross-border engagements.
• Experience in restructuring or turnaround advisory, debt advisory, corporate finance, or related fields.
• Strong modelling, accounting and cash-flow skills with clear recommendations.
• Excellent written and presentation skills for CFOs, owners and lenders.
• Decisive working style, able to manage tight timelines and disagreements.
• Degree in finance, economics, business, econometrics or law with strong financial grounding.
• Manager-level experience leading workstreams and mentoring juniors.
• Exposure to WHOA processes, lender negotiations or distressed M&A is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Involved across the full life of engagements from liquidity assessment to solution implementation.
• Build integrated financial models and cash-flow forecasts; stress-test for boards and lenders.
• Run or contribute to independent business reviews and challenge management plans.
• Determine sustainable debt capacity and refine refinancing proposals.
• Support refinancing routes, including court-confirmed plans if needed.
• Assist in sale and capital-raising processes in stressed situations.
• Contribute to operational turnaround work where financial solutions depend on the business.
• Prepare clear, decision-ready reports for boards, shareholders and lenders.
• Lead day-to-day engagements and coach junior colleagues as Manager.
