Job summary

Connect44 Sarl in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Fiber Network Planner to design and optimise fiber infrastructure, including backbone and access networks, route planning, duct layouts, and capacity planning.

You will collaborate with external contractors and internal teams, conduct site surveys, maintain up-to-date network documentation, and ensure accurate as-built records in Cocon and related systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in fiber network planning and design.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record keeping.
• Ability to liaise with internal and external teams.
• Experience with site surveys and feasibility studies.
• Knowledge of permit processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design fiber-optic network infrastructure across backbone, access, FTTx, and passive networks.
• Interface with third-party fiber contractors and manage integration of external fiber.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to determine optimal routes.
• Prepare and maintain network documentation, drawings, and asset inventories.
• Register as-built information in Cocon and other systems.
• Monitor network performance and plan future upgrades and extensions.
