Job summary

PaymentGenes is seeking an entrepreneurial Director to lead the consultancy's growth in the Netherlands. You will own both client relationships and the delivery of complex strategic engagements, originating new opportunities and guiding initiatives from proposal to contract.

Based in Amsterdam area, you will mentor teams and shape the practice while working with leading international clients. Fluency in English is required; Dutch is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consulting experience, with a demonstrable track record of originating and leading strategic consulting engagements within Payments, FinTech or Financial Services.
• A proven ability to independently generate new consulting business and grow strategic client relationships.
• Experience leading complex strategy, innovation or transformation projects for executive-level stakeholders.
• An established network of senior decision makers across the payments ecosystem.
• Excellent commercial, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing consultants or project teams.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to help build a growing consultancy.
• Fluency in English. Dutch is beneficial but not required.
• Residence in the Netherlands, within commuting distance of Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial success and delivery excellence of your client portfolio.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives across the payments ecosystem.
• Originate new consulting opportunities and close strategic consulting opportunities.
• Lead the complete proposal process, from initial conversations through commercial negotiations and contract signing.
• Grow long-term client relationships by identifying opportunities for continued strategic support.
• Oversee strategic engagements and ensure on-time delivery within budget.
