Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Director of Global Trade Compliance (BV) to lead EU trade compliance from the Netherlands. The role oversees export controls, customs, regulatory governance, and process improvement, partnering with Sales, Operations, Legal, Finance, and IT to enable compliant growth.

You will drive automation, risk assessment, and scalable programs across Europe, ensuring alignment with Dutch, EU, and U.S. regulations while mentoring teams and guiding strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Advanced degree or trade certifications preferred.
• 12+ years in global trade compliance, customs, or export controls.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership in global trade programs.
• Experience with multinational tech, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead export compliance, import/customs compliance, and operational trade compliance.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and internal controls.
• Advise EU business operations on trade compliance.
• Partner with leadership to identify regulatory risks and solutions.
• Oversee export classifications, licensing, and risk reviews.
• Implement automation and data governance for compliance.
