Job summary

Jobgether in the Netherlands seeks a Director of EMEA Government Affairs & Public Policy to lead strategy across Europe and the UK, shaping priorities for cybersecurity, software supply chain security, and AI regulations.

You will build relationships with governments, regulators, and industry bodies, translating complex technical issues into actionable policy guidance for product, marketing, and revenue teams. This role offers autonomy in a fast-growing, international environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in government affairs or public policy roles.
• Experience building or expanding government affairs programs.
• Ability to advance regulations, standards, or advocacy with outcomes.
• Experience engaging senior government officials and credibility with high-level stakeholders.
• Ability to translate technical issues into policy language for business teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across executive and industry audiences.
• Comfort operating independently in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the European government affairs strategy across Europe and the UK.
• Build relationships with governments, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Engage with EC, EP, ENISA, CEN-CENELEC, ETSI and other bodies.
• Develop policy positions, consultation responses, and submissions.
• Translate technical subjects into policy language for internal teams.
• Support product, marketing and revenue with policy insights.
• Establish processes for stakeholder engagement and regulatory monitoring.
• Lay the groundwork for a future European policy function.
