Sony Europe, based in Budapest with flexibility to Hoofddorp/Athens, seeks a Digital Reporting Controller on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will drive compliant digital reporting across Europe, coordinate with Finance, Tax, and external providers, and support country implementations to standardise processes.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, SAP/Excel expertise, and the ability to work across multiple countries and teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in transactional finance, accounting, VAT, indirect tax or related finance function.
• Strong experience with reconciliations, data validation and financial reporting processes.

Responsabilités

• Handle and support digital reporting, e-invoicing and e-reporting activities and implementation across multiple European countries.
• Monitor regulatory developments and reporting requirements to ensure ongoing compliance with local and EU legislation.
• Support new-country implementations, including requirements analysis, data mapping, testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate, reconcile and analyse reporting data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of submissions.
• Coordinate with Finance, Tax, IS teams and external service providers to deliver compliant and efficient reporting processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities and support compliance with statutory and internal governance requirements.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies, process issues and reporting exceptions.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data quality.
• Maintain reporting documentation, controls and training materials, supporting audit and compliance activities when required.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support successful digital reporting operations across the region.
