Job summary

An international organization is seeking a Group Reporting Manager in Amsterdam. This role involves leading the preparation of Group financial statements under IFRS and supporting US GAAP compliance. Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in external reporting, consolidation, or technical accounting.
  • Experience preparing financial statements under IFRS and exposure to US GAAP.
  • Understanding of SOX/PCAOB requirements within a listed environment.
  • Experience preparing IFRS financial statements; exposure to US GAAP.
  • Understanding of SOX/PCAOB in listed environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of the Group financial statements under IFRS.
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee SOX compliance activities, including maintaining internal control documentation.
  • Contribute to ESG disclosures and reporting development.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams and external auditors.
  • Identify improvements for reporting processes, controls and standardization.
  • Support ad‑hoc analyses and continuous improvement projects.

Role Overview

We are exclusively supporting the search for a Group Reporting Manager, a key role within the evolving global Finance function. Working as part of a small but highly impactful team, this position offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex external reporting activities, drive process improvements, and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical accounting professional with 8+ years’ relevant experience, either developed in Big 4 and transitioned into industry or gained within an international, listed environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of the Group financial statements under IFRS.
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee SOX compliance activities, including maintaining internal control documentation and updating controls as required.
  • Contribute to ESG reporting initiatives and assist with the development of related disclosures.
  • Manage relationships with internal finance teams and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting processes, controls and standardization.
  • Support ad‑hoc analysis, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across the reporting function.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a recognised professional qualification (RA, CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting background; Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in external reporting, consolidation, or technical accounting.
  • Experience preparing financial statements under IFRS and exposure to US GAAP.
  • Understanding of SOX/PCAOB requirements within a listed environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
