Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Controllership Contractor to support the Nordics Controllers and the Netherlands Controllership team from Amstelveen (Hybrid 2-3 days in the office). The assignment is for 6 months with a Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours/week) and freelance/zzp Terms.

Must have Big Four experience and US GAAP proficiency, with strong statutory accounting and tax knowledge in NL and Nordics. The role involves recurring Group reporting, regulatory compliance, and potential merger-related

Job description

We are looking for a Controllership Contractor to primarily support the Nordics Controllers, all based in Amstelveen, and potentially the Netherlands Controllership team, based in Rotterdam.

The contractor will support recurring controllership activities as well as reporting, statutory, regulatory, and tax-related requirements. The scope may also include project work, such as supporting mergers and other business or organizational changes.

Length of assignment: 6 Month initially

Working days/hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week: 9am – 5pm)

About the Benelux & Nordics Controllership team

• The Benelux & Nordics Controllership team consists of approximately 10 colleagues working across the Amstelveen and Rotterdam offices. It is a team of experienced finance professionals, most of whom have a background in audit and accounting.
• The team has a diverse cultural background and a strong team spirit. It is responsible for the Benelux and Nordics region, covering more than 30 legal entities.
• Key responsibilities include recurring activities for Group reporting, as well as statutory, regulatory, and tax compliance.
• The wider finance organization works closely with shared service centers in Poland, the UK, and India, providing the contractor with exposure to an international and collaborative operating model.

You are an experienced finance professional who can work independently in a complex, international environment. You bring:
