At Your.Online reliable financial information is a strategic enabler for our buy-and-build model. As Reporting Controller, you prepare, improve, and maintain the reporting that supports acquisition integration, financial steering, and performance analysis across our portfolio of 90+ companies in Europe and North America.
The role in our strategy
Your.Online operates a decentralized model: local companies retain operational autonomy, while the group provides expertise, structure, and long-term capital. We aim to keep expanding in the coming years, both autonomously and through an active acquisition (buy & build) strategy, which makes consistent reporting and the further professionalization of the FP&A team essential.
As a Reporting Controller, you will operate in an international setting at the intersection of Business Control, Financial Control, Business Intelligence (BI), M&A and Business Development. In this role, you are responsible for preparing, improving, and maintaining reports for internal and external stakeholders. You ensure the quality and timeliness of these reports and play a key role in the month-end closing process. You are co-responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and complete controls within the systems to guarantee data quality.
You will collaborate within project teams dedicated to reporting, or where reporting plays a central role. Given Your.Online’s active acquisition strategy, the company is in a constant state of evolution, ensuring that this position remains both challenging and engaging.
As a Reporting Controller, you are part of the FP&A and BI team, with direct impact on the reliability of the information the group steers on.
Your key responsibilities
- Reporting: Prepare, improve, and maintain the recurring reports for internal and external stakeholders, and safeguard their quality and timeliness.
- Planning & Control: Key role in the month-end closing process, with a thorough understanding of how administrations should be managed and of complete, accurate, and timely submissions in the consolidation systems.
- Data quality & controls: Co-responsible for timely, accurate, and complete controls within the systems, so that the data underlying our reporting is reliable.
- Consolidation & acquisitions: Integrate acquisitions into the consolidation and management reports and manage and further improve the consolidation and reporting tool (Lucanet), including how it interlinks with both our Management and Financial reporting.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work at the intersection of Business Control, Financial Control, Business Intelligence, M&A and Business Development, together with the FP&A team and the segment controllers.
- Projects & continuous improvement: Contribute to project teams where reporting plays a central role, and to the continuous improvement of processes, reporting, recurring analysis and dashboards, translating requirements into clear output for non-financial stakeholders.
Success in the first year
- High-quality reporting: Preparation of reliable and timely monthly and quarterly reports, based on stakeholder requirements. Data quality for you is not limited to completing the various process steps, you understand the story behind the financial figures and understand where the organisation is heading.
- Ownership and critical thinking: Ownership of your reporting deliverables including a clear understanding of your output and how this contributes to our Management reporting.
- Preparation: Be prepared not just for recurring deliverables, anticipate ad hoc questions, business insights and maintain a consistent way of presenting the requested output.
- Acquisition integration: New acquisitions are onboarded into the consolidation and management reporting within one reporting cycle, without disruption to the group close.
- Standardized reporting: Segments report on consistent KPIs and report formats in Lucanet, enabling comparison and benchmarking across the group.
