Job summary

Grid Games, a Dutch game studio in Weesp, is seeking an IT/DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The role is a 50/50 mix of DevOps/build engineering and internal IT/system administration. You’ll help automate workflows, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure for developers.

Work closely with developers to streamline pipelines, manage Windows and Linux environments, AD/M365/Azure, and own day-to-day IT operations while contributing to game-development pipelines.

Qualifications

• HBO/Bachelor-level education or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, subnets, IP ranges and routing.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft 365 and/or Azure.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with source control systems such as Perforce, Git or SVN.
• Strong security mindset and backups/disaster recovery.
• Independent work with ownership and end-to-end responsibility.
• Comfortable collaborating with developers and other tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Work with Unreal Engine build systems, including Horde.
• Maintain build infrastructure for reliability and developer experience.
• Automate infrastructure and repetitive tasks via scripting or IaC.
• Design, deploy and maintain backend and development infra.
• Monitor systems and proactively improve reliability and security.
• Own IT infrastructure daily operations: hardware, servers, accounts, services.
• Manage workspace IT and Active Directory, M365, Azure and policy.
